The Deep Hole Machine is a specialized machine tool designed for processing cylindrical deep gap workpieces. It is capable of performing drilling, boring, enlarging, and rolling processes on internal holes. This versatile machine can handle various types of holes, including through-holes, blind holes, and step holes.
During the processing operation, the workpiece rotates while the system (rotatable) feeds for cutting. The cutting fluid is delivered to the cutting area through the oil dispenser or the tail of the boring bar, providing cooling, lubrication, and chip removal. In drilling operations, the oil dispenser supplies cutting fluid, and the chips are discharged through the BTA (Boring And Trepanning Association) method. For boring operations, the cutting fluid and chips are discharged in advance using either the oil dispenser or boring bar.
The Deep Hole Machine can be equipped with an optional drill rod box, allowing for double rotation of both the workpiece and the tool, or it can be set to single motion, depending on the specific processing needs. This feature adds versatility to the machine, enabling it to adapt to a wide range of processing requirements.
